We at Austinbikes are honored that you would consider joining our cycling team. In addition to being the best bike shop in the world, we aim to provide our riders with the best pro-level support possible – the best in equipment, parts, knowledge and service.
Your relationship with Austinbikes, like any good relationship, is give-and-take. We envision it to always be mutually beneficial and always in "the honeymoon phase."

- Your complete understanding of our relationship. If you have any questions – please ask any one of us.
- Your initial purchase of a complete team kit (at full price), racing in the team kit, and wearing the team kit as much as possible whenever on your bike (we suggest more than one!)
- Listing your team name as “Austinbikes/Revenant” in all race results. Please renew your USCF license accordingly.
- Referrals! We thrive on referrals & word-of-mouth advertising. If you love us, please tell your friends, refer us to your neighbor, and mention the awesomeness of Austinbikes to that guy with the noisy bike riding next to you. We promise you will never be guilty of giving bad advice by referring us.
What other real important stuff should you know as a team racer & a customer? ›
- Flagrant violent/unsporting behavior will absolutely be grounds for your removal from the team without argument, trial by jury, or refund for any Ab gear you may have purchased prior to the offense in question.
- Please give us ample time to make your bike race-ready (i.e., don’t bring your bike to us on Friday nite for a Saturday morning race unless it’s an emergency). Chances are you aren’t the only one racing that may need some last-minute mechanical assistance. If it is indeed an emergency, we will do everything possible to get you racing the next day.
- Our favorite things are seeing you on the road or trail wearing your team kit, being courteous to motorists & other cyclists, and helping someone with a flat.
- Other favorite things are smiling faces, clean bikes, belly laughs, funny stories, patience, courtesy, coffee, beer, margaritas and anything baked.
- One of our least favorite things is haggling over price with our team members. We can not and will not do it. We are a retail business in downtown Austin, with a staff dedicated entirely to you, that depends on sales revenue to keep the door open. We not only sell, but we service, fit, advise, encourage, motivate, and (ultimately, if we do our job right) satisfy. We cannot compete with an internet retailer or a used equipment outlet that merely sells. Your team discount is real money that we take directly from our bottom line & put back into your pocket as part of our relationship.
We like to think you might choose Austinbikes because we WILL take care of you like nobody else. We want there to be zero reasons why you’d even think about going anywhere else for anything that we can provide related to cycling. We want to exceed your expectations every time we interact, and we welcome & encourage feedback at all times.
